ZeroG Lab gravity laboratory helps ensure the safety of Winter Olympics

On the evening of February 4, the 24th Beijing Winter Olympic Games, which attracted worldwide attention, opened. The wonderful opening ceremony presented a science and technology feast for people all over the world. The scientific and technological Winter Olympics is exactly the vision put forward by the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. With the development of various events of the Winter Olympic Games, many scientific and technological means have appeared one after another, and the zero gravity laboratory has also contributed a scientific and technological force to the Winter Olympic Games.

Safety is an important prerequisite to ensure the smooth convening of the Winter Olympic Games. The Beijing Winter Olympic Games is divided into three competition areas: Beijing competition area, Yanqing competition area and Zhangjiakou competition area. Among them, Yanqing competition area is located in xiaohaituo mountain area, Zhangshanying Town, Yanqing District, Beijing. The competition area has built national alpine skiing center, national snowmobile and sled center, Olympic Village, media center and other venues, and will host alpine skiing, steered sledge, rudderless sledge and prone sledge.

In order to meet the water demand for snow making in the competition area, the organizing committee has built snow making water diversion projects including 800m elevation reservoir, 900m elevation pond and pump station, 1050m elevation pond and pump station, 1290m elevation reservoir, water transmission pipeline and base flow water transmission pipeline, so as to provide water storage and water supply guarantee for the snow making system in the competition area.

In order to ensure the safety of snow making and water diversion project in Yanqing competition area, the zero gravity laboratory uses InSAR satellite, video monitoring, automatic monitoring robot and other data acquisition terminals to carry out multi-source data fusion through satellite remote sensing, ground monitoring and other technical means to monitor the dam settlement deformation, reservoir tail and slope displacement of 900m and 1050m high ponds in Yanqing competition area, Visual display of the global portrait and safety early warning management modules of the snow making and water diversion project in Yanqing competition area, so as to realize the omni-directional public security situation awareness of the competition area, improve the comprehensive safety prevention and control ability of the competition area, and escort the smooth convening of the Winter Olympic Games.

At the same time, the zero gravity laboratory will give full play to the role of science and technology in supporting traffic supervision and safety in the preparation process of the Winter Olympic Games. In order to ensure the traffic safety of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the Beidou pseudo satellite base station developed by the zero gravity laboratory team has completed the installation and deployment in qipanliang, Jinjiazhuang and other tunnels, so as to realize the full coverage of Beidou / GPS navigation satellite signals in the tunnel and ensure the adaptive seamless switching of satellite navigation and positioning inside and outside the tunnel for vehicles to Yanqing competition area of the Winter Olympics, And assist the online joint control platform of the traffic supervision department to carry out safety positioning and monitoring of "two passengers and one danger", Winter Olympic support vehicles and special operation vehicles during the event.

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games is not only a stage for global ice and snow athletes, but also an external display of China's scientific and technological image. The scientific and technological support of the zero gravity Laboratory for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games is not only a representation of the ability of satellite application service terminal customers, but also a manifestation of the value of satellite technology in helping the "scientific and technological Winter Olympic Games".
